Arthur and the Antidotes

Posted on July 7, 2014

Here at Beat2aChord we love nothing more than introducing music lovers to exciting new talent from the area and this week we got introduced to a new local band who are definitely ones to watch for the next year.

Arthur and the Antidotes is a new up and coming band from Leeds who are in the process of releasing their first EP. The band consists of 4 Leeds College of Music students, and they describe their sound as ‘combining the scrappy sound of the Libertines with the songwriting prowess of writers like Paul Simon’.

Their music sounds beautifully melodic with intricate arrangement of guitars and vocals, and their track ‘Let’s Go’ shows evidence of solid songwriting with catchy rise and fall throughout. The end result is a solid indie-pop tune that captivates the listener from start to end. A really promising first track!

We have been told that their new EP is due for release imminently so to get us in the mood check out ‘Let’s Go’ below:
